FITNESS FRIDAYS with Hugo

As the first official installment in our '21 Days of Goodness' campaign, we've got our drummer and the Energizer Bunny of the band, Hugo, to take us all through some fairly simple, easy-to-do-at-home exercises to keep us all active during the lockdown.

All the instructional/example videos are available on our Instagram here (give us a follow whilst you're at it)! Below is the set-list, we've designed it so that it is do-able for any fitness level, just repeat the set more times, or give youself less of a break in between each exercise, to make it harder. Make sure you push yourself, regardless!
Week 1 Set (repeat 3 times)
No equipment required:
25 x Push-ups
- To make this easier, start with your knees on the ground, and do the pushups from there.
- To make this harder, elevate your feet slightly. Alternatively, put your hands together, forming a diamond with your index fingers and thumbs, and do the pushups that way.
25 x Jump squats
25 x Burpees
25 x Jack Knives
25 x 1&1/2 Bottomed out Squats
2 min Plank
- If you can't do a full two minutes, just go as long as you possibly can, and then try to go an extra ten seconds longer each time :)
Requires some basic equipment:
50 x Russian Twists (25 each side)
- For this exercise, grab anything reasonably heavy if you don't have a dumbbell.
3 min skip
- If you don't have a skipping rope, find something else as a substitute or find another way to do some intense cardio and get that heart rate up!
