Hi friends!

We firstly want to send all our love to everybody. We hope that you're staying healthy, safe, positive, and relatively sane in lockdown. We know, it's really tough, and sometimes it's difficult to get any real perspective, but next time you're feeling down (without invalidating how you're feeling), try to convert some of your bad energy into positivity and gratitude!

Today we've got some thoughts on how to consciously and constructively foster your relationships with your friends whilst in lockdown. Loneliness is a real thing and can have serious negative impacts on your health. So try out a couple of these to keep yourself sane!

  1. Video call the homies! This one's pretty obvious, but it's still worth mentioning in case you haven't been doing it. There's pretty much nothing better than seeing the faces of your friends when the only people you've been interacting with are your family, and it's the closest thing you'll get to normal social interaction whilst in lockdown. There's tons of platforms you can use now, from WhatsApp Video Calls, to Facetime, Zoom, HouseParty, and many more

  2. Message a friend that you haven't chatted to in a while, and check in on them! Maybe schedule a catch-up call (see above) or just chat to them about how they've been doing. Let's be real you don't have much more to be doing, use this time to do things you say you don't normally have time for.

  3. Check in on your friends who you know struggle with mental health. This time is going to be super tough for them, and just the simple act of you reaching out is going to make a big difference to them. Important note: It's going to be super difficult for your most social people to handle this social isolation, so check in on them! We know, they're always the bouncy, excitable ones, but right now, they are struggling for interaction, so give them a call. Promise they'll love it. (We know, we've been keeping Hugo sane like this, and it's mostly working. Mostly.)

  4. Send your friends fresh content to keep them entertained, like our Saturday Sessions version of our new single, 'Viral Apocalypse', which you can find here, or our newest episode of Musical Mondays, which you can find here! Send it to a friend (or all of them, totally up to you).

  5. Try to keep things reasonably positive at home. Be nice to those you live with. Maybe do a kind deed for your mom or dad. Give your sibling something nice (maybe) (if you're feeling really kind). Just spread good vibes and positivity whilst you're in lockdown. Find more suggestions and ideas here.

We want to keep spreading love and good vibes, so keep doing so with your friends and family. Also stream our latest single 'Viral Apocalypse', on Apple Music or on Spotify.

xxx
